HAUPTMAN O’BRIEN SAFE RIDE HOME® PROGRAM NOW  ‘SAFER AT HOME’ IN RESPONSE TO THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC

Omaha, Neb. (Dec. 15, 2020): Due to Covid-19’s impact on holiday  celebrations throughout our community, Hauptman, O’Brien, Wolf & Lathrop has  adjusted its annual Safe Ride Home program to become Safer At Home for 2020. Through the revised campaign, the firm will make donations and give away $200 in  Hy-Vee groceries to those in need, every day through New Year’s Eve.

“Safe Ride Home has been our 30-year commitment to keep our community  safe by reducing drunk driving accidents. In that time, not only has the program  become a holiday tradition, it has helped more than 70,000 Nebraskans get home  safely,” said managing partner Melany O’Brien. “Now in 2020, the CDC advises the  safest way to celebrate the holidays is to stay home. Therefore, to continue to do our  part to keep our community safe, and support efforts to contain the pandemic, we felt  it was appropriate to suspend our regular Safe Ride Home program. As a firm, we  wanted to continue to give back to those in need, and by creating our Safer At Home  campaign, we hope we can do our part to help feed hungry families and keep  Nebraskans safe this holiday season.”

Safer At Home runs through Thurs., Dec. 31st. People can enter to win a $200 Hy-Vee gift card on our Safer At Home page at HauptmanOBrien.com, or on our  Facebook page. Winners will be chosen on Dec. 14th, Dec. 21st and Dec. 28th. The  deadline to enter is Dec. 27th at midnight.

Although Safe Ride Home isn’t running this year, we still want to ensure everyone avoids drinking and driving and can get home safely, therefore if someone  does find themselves in need, we will pay for one ride home per person. Visit HauptmanOBrien.com for details and restrictions.
