Born and raised in Omaha, Tim O’Brien attended Creighton Prep and graduated in 2005. He went on to earn his Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from Creighton University in 2009 and his law degree from Creighton University School of Law in 2012. While in law school, Tim was recognized with the CALI award for excellence in Insurance law. A member of the Omaha and Nebraska Bar Associations, Nebraska Association of Trial Attorneys, and The America Association for Justice, Tim is following his family’s tradition in the legal field while expanding the capabilities of Hauptman, O’Brien, Wolf & Lathrop.

Tim O’Brien is a dedicated resident of Omaha, actively involved in giving back to his community. He volunteers at the 15th Club, which supports the Pinnacle Bank Championship, a golf tournament benefiting local charities.
Additionally, Tim donates his time to local food banks, where he helps package food for those in need within his community.

People going through difficult situations need to be cared about and cared for as individuals with specific needs. As an attorney, I’m responsible for conveying those needs to insurance adjusters, or opposing attorneys in an effective way, and if necessary, to eventually convince the jury that those needs should be addressed. As an attorney, if you cannot relate to your client, there’s no way you’re going to be able to relate their needs to the jury. So along with education and experience, I’d say empathy is the third element that every attorney must have to be effective. I believe you have to be personable to be a successful personal injury attorney and that starts with focusing on the people I represent rather than thinking of each as just another case.”
