Terry M. Anderson was born in Thief River Falls, Minnesota. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in 1968 and Juris Doctor degree in 1971 from the University of North Dakota. He was made a member of the Order of the Coif and was Case Editor of the North Dakota Law Review. Mr. Anderson was admitted to the State Bar of North Dakota in 1971 and the Nebraska State Bar Association in 1972. He is also admitted to practice before the Eighth Circuit and Tenth Circuit Courts of Appeal.

He joined the Creighton Law faculty after earning his Master of Laws degree from Harvard Law School in 1972.  He has been a Visiting Professor of Law at the University of New Mexico and Denver University. He is currently a Professor of Law at Creighton. Mr. Anderson focuses on Contracts, Commercial Law, and Real Estate Financing Law.

Mr. Anderson is the author of several books. The most recent publications are Criminal Law, 12th Edition (Cengage 2013) and Criminal Evidence, 8th Edition (Cengage 2012). He is currently working on the 9th Edition of Criminal Evidence, which will be published in 2015.
